Interact Clubs

Dearborn Rotary sponsors and mentors students in Interact Clubs at area high schools, helping them build leadership and management skills, volunteer for hands-on service projects, and connect locally and globally to promote goodwill and understanding. Interact Clubs are student-led and self-governing, with guidance from Dearborn Rotarians.

Rotary Youth Exchange

This program enables students ages 15 to 19 to experience new cultures, learn languages, and become global citizens through international exchanges. Over the years, Dearborn Rotarians have hosted students from around the world, and sponsored local students to study and live abroad with Rotary host families for up to a year.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

Each year, the Rotary Club of Dearborn invites and sponsors a select group of students from Dearborn area high schools to attend a weekend conference with other students from within Rotary District 6400. Led by trained facilitators and Rotarians, students take part in activities that build leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

"My Potential" Mentoring Program

In collaboration with Dearborn Public Schools, eleventh and twelfth grade students are paired as mentors with at-risk ninth grade students. Mentors provide academic assistance, join mentees on school-approved field trips, and become healthy role models and friends, after specialized training on engaging younger students and recognizing early warning signs of risk.

02The Heart of Our Service

Investing in Dearborn’s next generation

Awarding scholarships to graduating high school students across the City of Dearborn is our largest service project. We also offer nursing scholarships at Henry Ford College and veterans scholarships at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, plus a special award through the Dearborn 19th District Court to help veterans get back on the right track.

Additional scholarship copy and details to be provided by the club.
